Deepavali Celebration: Northern California Chapter

The Northern California chapter celebrated Deepavali Habba yesterday, with around 300 attendees joining the festivities. The event was beautifully organized by the Agrahara team, featuring a vibrant lineup of programs — from soulful bhajans to lively karaoke performances.

Children from the hosting team shared the significance of Deepavali, adding a thoughtful touch to the celebration. A highlight of the evening was the unique dance drama “Raja Ravi Varma”, presented by the hosts, which captivated the audience throughout!

We also took the opportunity to promote the upcoming Havyaka Convention in Chicago, which was met with great enthusiasm. The potluck dinner was delicious and abundant, reflecting the community’s warmth and generosity.

A special moment of the evening was the felicitation of Yakshagana Guru Sri K. J. Ganesh, who has traveled from India to teach in several Yakshagana events across California

Overall, it was a joyous, fun-filled celebration — a perfect occasion to reconnect with friends, celebrate togetherness, and create wonderful new memories.
