HAA Youth Forum

  • HAA youth forum formed in March 2021
  • Goals:
    • Bring HAA youth under one umbrella, involve them in activities, and provide a platform to express their creativity 
    • Bring in College Students and College graduates on the same platform. Involve them in activities or judging roles as they like it and are available
    • Mentor College graduates to take on HAA Committee support roles if they wish
  • How does It benefit the youth?
    • Youth group will have a bigger support group always
    • Opportunity for networking, and to learn what opportunities are there outside HAA; competitions, volunteer activities etc
    • Motivate and Inspire younger youth
    • Develop interpersonal skills – leadership, confidence, teamwork etc

      • HAAYouthForum whatsapp group is created in April 2021
      • Advisors and youth met on a zoom call on April 9th 2021
  • First youth activity conducted on May 2nd 2021. Session had breakout room activity and Kahoot. It was received very well by all the youth members, and youth expressed interest in having more such activities. Thanks to Sriram and Manasa for preparing the Kahoot and help running this activity.
    • Youth activity 2 conducted on Jun 13th 2021. Thanks to Bhakti Hegde for running “2 truths and 1 lie’ game and Aashika for running Kahoot. 
    • Youth Activity 3 – Education and beyond ‘Hear from our Young adults’ was conducted in July 2021. Dr. Vikrum Thimmappa, Dr. Puja Thimmappa and Anoop Bhat, graduate from Carnegie Mellon University shared their academic and professional experiences in the program. 
    • Youth Activity 4 – HAA Youth Symphony was conducted on Dec 11th 2021 under the guidance of Guru Shri Vinayak Hegde. 27 Youth participants took part in it and it was received very well.
