Makara Sankranti Celebrations 2026: Northern California Chapter

The Northern California chapter celebrated Makara Sankranti Habba yesterday, with around 200 attendees joining the festivities. The event was beautifully organized by the Omkara team, featuring a vibrant lineup of programs – the enthusiastic participation of so many children this time was heartwarming and admirable!
The decoration was quite authentic and beautiful, depicting the significance of Sankranti was appreciated by many! The food was both delicious and unique!

I took the opportunity to promote the upcoming Havyaka Convention in Chicago, which was met with great enthusiasm. Getting invited for the convention by our own Havyaka President Sri Muralidhara Kaje avaru and his team is really touching!

Overall, it was a joyous, fun-filled celebration — a perfect occasion to reconnect with friends, celebrate togetherness, and create wonderful new memories.
