DC Chapter

DC HAA team and their visiting parents/siblings gathered at Kshama and Mahableshwara’s house around 6 pm on August 14 and made 20+ colorful no-sew blankets while showing off our hidden talents by playing AnTakshari. These blankets were donated to Children’s Hospital – University of Maryland Medical Center (http://umm.edu/programs/childrens) in Baltimore. More pictures from this event are shared here

Here is the snippet from Mahableshwara Hegde’s email who went to deliver the blankets.

They were extremely happy and grateful to receive them. Quoting them: “They are extremely beautiful and our kids will be happy to receive such colorful gifts”….  To top it all, while the blankets were being transferred from the car to the cart, few folks asked whether they were for sale! “
