Havyaka Picnic: Northern California Chapter

The Northern California Chapter celebrated the Havyaka Picnic on August 16, 2026 with around 140 enthusiastic participants! It was a wonderful day filled with fun, laughter, delicious food, and togetherness.

Just like last year, the picnic was proudly led by our amazing Havyaka youth, many of whom were part of last year’s team as well. Despite their busy schedules, college applications, and school commitments, they attended the preparation meeting hosted by the VP, carefully took notes based on the suggestions and guidance provided on executing the event, took ownership of their responsibilities, worked together beautifully, and executed every activity with incredible enthusiasm and dedication.

Our heartfelt thanks to all the parents for their constant support and involvement. The youth and their parents were truly the backbone of this successful event!

It was wonderful to see everyone, from 2 years old to 80+, participating, laughing, cheering, and enjoying the beautiful summer day.

Apart from the many fun games and activities, some of the highlights included the vegetable guessing game for men, the scavenger hunt, musical chairs, and the tug of war. Each brought plenty of excitement, laughter, and friendly competition!

The delicious potluck lunch, surprise mango and vanilla ice cream with Gulab Jamun, coffee and tea with masala peanuts, and ending the picnic with Masala Puri Chaat made the day even more special!

Our youth were recognized with certificates and gift cards for their wonderful efforts.

It was truly a memorable and heartwarming day, and seeing everyone’s smiles and happiness made all the effort worthwhile!
