The HAA Dallas Chapter celebrated Deepavali at Ajith and Seema’s place yesterday.
The celebration featured vibrant participation from all age groups. The younger members of the community delighted everyone with Bhajans, Deepavali themed Trivia session, and beautiful piano and dance performances that showcased their creativity and talent. Our talented ladies added to the festive atmosphere with a graceful and entertaining dance performance that was enjoyed by all. The evening also included the fun group game of Dumb Charades, which brought everyone together for laughter and friendly competition.
The celebration concluded with a sumptuous potluck dinner featuring a variety of authentic Havyaka delicacies, including favorites such as Majjige Huli, Uddina Kottige, Hayagreeva, and Halasina Kayi Happala, lovingly prepared by community members. The spread reflected the richness of our Havyaka culinary traditions and the spirit of sharing that defines our gatherings.
In addition to the festivities, members also discussed the upcoming Convention in Chicago, highlighting opportunities to register, sponsor, and participate.
It was truly a memorable evening filled with joy, connection, and togetherness — a beautiful reflection of the Havyaka values that continue to unite us all.
